“ At 黑料网, we wholeheartedly guide our students towards bright joyful futures.”
We recognise that thinking about the future can feel overwhelming for many young people.
To support them as they explore their post-school pathways, our Futures Program aims to transform this journey into an empowering experience, guiding students confidently in setting their career goals.
Our Approach
Shifting the Focus: From “What” to “Who”
Rather than asking, “What do you want to be?” we ask, “Who do you want to become?”
This powerful shift encourages students to look inward and consider their life priorities, values, character, and aspirations. Our Head of Futures, Mr Justin Peat, often discusses this with students during initial consultations. Many of our students express a desire to teach, care for the elderly, empower the oppressed, or positively impact their communities. These responses reveal a deep-seated yearning for purpose and a vision for a better future.
?
Modern Career Development Philosophy
Our approach aligns with contemporary career development philosophies. In The Adaptation Advantage, Heather McGowan and Chris Shipley advocate for detaching personal pride and identity from job titles and linking them to a sense of purpose. This perspective motivates learning, engagement, and empowerment while cultivating new forms of pride and identity. By releasing rigid career identities, students can fully embrace learning and adapting to new challenges, leading to more fulfilling careers.

Guiding Students Toward Flourishing and Fulfilling Futures
By shifting the focus from merely what our students want to be to who they want to become, we nurture their inner sense of purpose and character. Through expert-led seminars, interactive expos, and comprehensive resources, we provide the tools and guidance needed to align personal values with career aspirations. These experiences broaden horizons, cultivate meaningful aspirations, and provide direction. With the support of our community and these initiatives, we are confident that our students are on the path to bright futures
